Perfect fries with mayo

Fancy the perfect fries with delicious mayonnaise? Search no further! This foolproof recipe produces irresistibly crispy fries made with large Maris Piper air fryer potatoes , a touch of flour and your favorite spice mix. Dip them in our delicious mayo consisting of a mix of egg, lemon, vinegar, honey and Dijon mustard. A delicious duo that will take your snacking experience to a new level.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large Maris Piper potatoes (other potatoes may also be used)
  • 2 teaspoon flour
  • 2-3 teaspoons of your favorite spice blend
  • Salt, pepper and oil, if desired

Mayonnaise:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon white wine/apple cider vinegar>
  • ½ teaspoon of honey
  • 1 tbsp dijon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Cut the potatoes into fries about 1 cm thick. It is not necessary to peel the potato. Place them in a bowl, add 2 teaspoons of salt and pour boiling water over them. Set aside for 10-30 minutes (you can skip this step, but the soaking will draw out the excess starch and make them nice and crispy!)

2. Drain the potatoes and pat them dry. Place the fries in a bowl, add the flour, herbs of your choice, salt, pepper, flour and a dash of oil. Mix until the herbs, oil and flour evenly coat all the fries.

3. Fry them for 30 minutes at 180°C in your Instant Pot Airfryer. Shake the basket once or twice during cooking for even crispiness. Meanwhile, combine the mayo ingredients and blend until smooth.

4. When your fries are done, place them on a plate and dip them in the mayonnaise.
