Instant Pot® sealing rings have passed UL, FDA, and LFGB testing for safety, including food safety. To ensure that your Instant Pot multicooker continues to perform as it is intended to use only authentic Instant Pot® sealing rings with your Instant Pot multicooker. It is recommended that you replace your Instant Pot sealing ring every 12-18 months. However, the sealing ring is porous and can absorb odors and become discolored. To prevent discoloration and odors, you may want to replace the sealing ring every 6-12 months.
